Indeed, after a year and a half of the blog, I wanted to share knowledge of innovative and unusual, as far as my availability and those associations. I will present today CASA, the Collective Action of the Homeless, an association of Avignon who wins in my opinion be known and may also consider the place of the teacher against a person in trouble .

The association was founded in CASA 2001 thanks to the spontaneous action of people homeless, in Avignon. Apart from the desire to overcome exclusion, individuals wanted to leave the position of beneficiaries often implied by the ordinary and become actors in their path.
During one year, a building will be occupied street nurses in Avignon until the expulsion of its members by the City Council. The association exists to start with trading systems and donations.
In October 2002, the articles of association will write and present clear aims:
- Raise means to enable people in physical danger or moral to be above the poverty line,
- Observation and vigilance regarding compliance with the law and the dignity of users
- Advanced human and cultural everyone
- Management SPEs
- Organization activities sociocultural
- Benefits service
Between 2003 and 2005, four services relying CASA association will emerge.
Villa Medici
The Villa Medici was working effectively since 2003. Accommodation Centre for Social Rehabilitation and providing stabilization benefits since 2007, this place offers an unconditional welcome to people experiencing insecurity.

Villa Medici hosts twenty people and its team is composed of peer workers and professionals. This composition helps to promote the principles of self-management. The association considers CASA and the people possess skills and experience they can combine with professionals who themselves hold a qualification in order to experience the place and examine the device daily.

Mediation Service Street

GEM Casually

One afternoon in the case of Space
Today's workshops "art" with Janine, visual artist and training, as required by the Species Space , this place is open to all, residents of the Villa Medici , users the GEM Casually , citizens.

I want to thank the association for CASA having opened its doors a few months ago.
