Lords of Breakfast Roeulx THE LORDS OF SMALL-ROEULX-LEZ-NIVELLES. The landlords who presided over the village of Petit-Roeulx come from noble families. If we find the entries, they are scattered in the literature where often we repeat the same sayings without checking the merits.

In 1137, the lord of Little Roeulx is GUISLARD OF Arken, esquire, son of Franken Arken, lord of Newfoundland Streets in Nivelles (lord supposed Breakfast Roeulx).

LANCELOT OF Arken, Esquire, sometime lord of Arquennes. In 1386 or 1387, he raised his resignation by Willem t'ser Huyge the manor of Little Roeulx and winage in this village. He died without issue after 1402.
MELCHIOR OF Arken, Esq Lord of Arquennes in 1393, Lord of Little Roeulx after his brother, was emancipated by his parents November 9, 1411.
He went with his parents in the League of Friends of Duke, which led to their banishment for 40 years by States. Bernard van Orley
Bernard Orley was long bailiff of the Walloon Brabant. He was called to this task in September 1497 thanks "good and pleasant services he had rendered to the Archduke Philip in his childhood." ANNE Rubempre, "the moinée" that Little returned Roeulx; it unites, to 1577, to PONTHUS OF NOYELLES, lord of Bours, colonel of a Walloon regiment of infantry, governor and captain of Mechelen and then governor and bailiff of Courtrai. He died December 6, 1581 of a wound received at the siege of Tournai.

Castle Little Roeulx suffered greatly during the wars of that time. Apart from the main building at the entrance to the courtyard, he was utterly ruined, but it was rebuilt shortly after its purchase. This couple had four children GILLION CHARLES ADRIEN, Marquis de Bomy, who inherited Breakfast Roeulx which was the last lord. He was a brigadier and a Knight of St. Louis, he married his niece, Jeanne Marie, Princess De Croy, Marquise de Molembais.
