In this novel, two overlapping stories and trying to connect, one realistic, with the only discordant element is the misfit boy with his imaginary friend, "the boy named Raven and the other to the dreamlike atmosphere, with an old man who can talk to cats, a huge black dog telepathic, sardines and leeches falling from the sky, an eerie entity disguised as Colonel Sanders ... Looks like Renee Zellweger in the film Jerry Maguire : "You Had Me at old man who can talk to cats!" Our two heroes, young and old, make their separate multiple meetings, the most mundane to the most strange, and soon all these people converge to a mysterious intersection ...
A reading by turns intriguing, disturbing, funny, scary (sometimes a bit long, one flat), where Greek tragedy meets Japanese version Road Novel and the novel of initiation ... It should probably read this book rather dense to understand all the ramifications and all the symbols ... As for Kafka, no need to know the work of the writer (phew!), just what the name means in Czech!
