I deliberately delayed my reading of this fine album to enter in the challenge of Jules December in Quebec, since the author, photographer and storyteller Marc Laberge, Quebec is. But now I think it looks a bit funny, because is everywhere except in Quebec!

Laberge indeed takes us to the four around the world (as Nic and Pic; younger are allowed to raise his eyes to heaven while the quarantine began to sing "Pic-Nic Nic-Pic in a balloon!"). Texts sometimes funny, sometimes touching, held in part of the story, partly travelogue, sometimes with a touch of the supernatural. As for example in my favorite story, where two small Icelandic elves are trying to prevent the construction of a highway on top of their home ground, using every means available magiquesà: fumarole, solfatara and other terrestrial phenomena more or less smelly! The photos accompanying the text, representing sites near the lunar volcanic Iceland is the most beautiful effect.

Besides the pictures, they are beautiful landscapes or strange people or picturesque architecture out of the ordinary, nothing to envy to those of National Geographic, I think.
