Writing is perhaps a little flat (not in the sense of dull, rather lacking in relief), but after all, is not so much for the quality of the pen that reads what kind novel but mainly for the plot. And here you are served! It goes without bouncing bouncing, you never know which way to turn, and once we think we know, though ultimately we know nothing at all! You never get bored one second to follow well-developed characters, including the police Lessard, just enough shot so that we have the impression of knowing, and we will be pleased to find a new adventure announced for 2011 on the site of the writer .
If I can make a small suggestion to Mr. Michaud to read things, and wants constructive criticism would be to have more confidence in his readers. Some concepts can be suggested rather than explained. For example, in the same sentence when we talk of exorcism and Max Von Sydow, most people will understand the allusion to the famous movie, it is unnecessary or even irritating, to specify the footnote on page!
