Cabrières

Site castrum Cabrières.
The Castle Cabrières is a feudal fortress of Visigothic origin. This fortified complex has now virtually disappeared. Quoted from the sixth century by Gregory of Tours, the site overlooks the town of Cabrières in the department of Herault.

Protection.

The castle Cabrières is not protected by a classification or registration as a historic monument. It does not appear in the census of the general inventory of cultural heritage.

Excavations.

Between 1986 and 1991, archaeological excavations were conducted by the Group for Research and Studies Clermontais led by Laurent Schneider. ( Wikipedia )
